Already talked about them recently, but it is these Roccat Kave 5.1 XTD Digital are creating a great excitement, and more now that they have been officially presented in the Gamescom 2013 that is now taking place. These new headphones are not for nothing a rehash of the original Kave, since they incorporate a lot of new and interesting improvements.
And is that for starters, Roccat has replaced the old desktop driver to put in place another much more advanced, which integrates its own sound card 5.1 digital. This handler also integrates Roccat Smart Link, a patented technology that allows you to match the driver with a smartphone or tablet via bluetooth, allowing to make and receive calls through the XTD Kave while playing. The back of the controller has 5.1 analog outputs, so you can also connect our desktop speakers there and thus change easily between speakers and headphones by the controller. This is a huge, given pro to use headphones 5.1 real have the drawback that we had to connect them in the back of the PC, each time removing the speakers. Thanks to Roccat, this is no longer a problem.
On the other hand, the Roccat Kave XTD boast the same 5.1 sound real original Kave, but with improved sound, since now they have 3 independent speakers lined up in angles of 12 ° to provide a sound more immersive. In addition, remade have the head band to make it more comfortable, and compared the Kave originals now the set weighs 25% less.
The downside of this Kave XTD is that its price has been increased considerably, given that its manufacturer’s price would be of 139 Dollars (in stores online is usually always find enough cheaper, but final prices can be expected of around 119 Dollars). They will be available during the month of November.
