ASUS announces the “low-priced” curved monitor ROG Strix XG27VQ

The ASUS brand has presented the ROG Strix XG27VQ, a curved monitor that stands out for having a well-thought design, a curved finish, really good specs and a relatively “low” price.

It’s worth stopping and checking out the images, because ASUS deserves it with the ROG Strix XG27VQ incredible design. On the front, it has solid, yet thin, screen borders and just below it, a lighting system that projects a red-colored icon.

In the back, it has a really attractive finish, thanks to the lines that run on the side of the monitor, which also has a lighting LED RGB system, in the area where the screen joins the support arm. The ASUS Aura system is integrated in said lighting, which means we can easily create different effects and sync the LED system with other devices.

Looking at the specs, we find a 27 inch, VA-type curved panel (1800R) with 1080p resolution. It also has a 4 ms response time, a 144 Hz display update frequency and AMD FreeSync technology.

Response time is optimal and it ensures a great gaming experience, even though ASUS aimed to improve this by using Extreme Low Motion Blur technology that reduces blur on high-speed objects.

It’s a really interesting solution for people who don’t own a high-end gaming PC with an AMD Radeon graphics card. The launch date is still unknown, but it should be announced in the coming weeks.
