Pioneer adds NFC connectivity in their new wireless speaker

Pioneer Electronics has announced the XW-BTSA1, a Bluetooth wireless speaker designed to be used indoors. This is the first time ever a Pioner speaker features NFC (Near-Field Communications) connectivity, that makes connectivity between a vast array of compatible devices quick and simple.

The XW-BTSA1 features an elegant design and full-range speakers and tweeters (speakers for low-frequency sounds), so it’s capable of producing clear and high-quality sound. There are two ways of connectinf the device via Bluetooth: manually (from the manu of the device) or through NFC. Smartphones with NFC technology only have to be set near the speaker for a short while to establish the connection.

The speaker also has a 3.5-millimeter port to play music from an external device and a USB port to charge the speakers. You can control it with the touch buttons at the upper part or with the remote controller. This 8-watt is available in black and white.

“Bluetooth speakers are the preferred option among many consumers who want to make the most out of their mobile phones”, said Raul Centeno, product manager from Pioneer Spain. “With the release of this model, that features both Bluetooth and NFC, we have improved the compatibility of the speakers with the most recent smartphones to make the process of listening to your favorite music easier and much more intuitive”.
